Perhaps Columbus should not be demonized as the article states—NOT! Just because he was an explorer who discovered the Indies does not change the facts that he was keenly aware of the brutal treatment placed upon the native indigenous population by those who traveled with him. But like many in his position, and driven by greed, Columbus conveniently looked the other way with a les affaires resignation that this is the way the cookie crumbles…and it's the price he was willing to bare for power and recognition. And yes, Genghis Khan was brutal but much wiser than the Spaniards in how he ruled those he conquered.

If the Republican candidate is certain to lose, why not vote for the more moderate Democrat of two on the ballot? If you're a Republican in a heavily-Democratic district, wouldn't you rather be represented by a moderate Democrat than a liberal Democrat? The reverse is true too, wouldn't a Democrat prefer to be represented by a moderate Republican instead of a more conservative one?

Why isn't kicking out the squishy, sell out middle the solution? Are you really suggesting Republicans shouldn't be able to pick their own candidates and should get candidates prefered by Democrats, only?

How do you feel about that question in reverse?
